Privacy Policy

This policy explains how SummitKai (“SummitKai”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Information we collect

When you contact us

Our contact form opens your own email app with your message ready to send. When you send it, we receive the details you choose to include: your name, email address and message, and your company and phone number if you add them. The same applies when you email us directly.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t build profiles of visitors.

Health information

Please don’t send us detailed health information unless you need to for us to answer your question. If you do share it, we’ll only use it to reply to you and won’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How we use your information

• To keep our website secure and working properly

We don’t sell or rent your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host (Cloudflare) and our email provider, and only so they can provide that service. Some of these providers store or process information outside New Zealand. When that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that’s comparable to New Zealand law.

How we keep it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To do this, email us at support@summitkai.com. We’ll respond within 20 working days.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
